DESCRIPTION:Partnering with the Text Less Live More Campaign\, Carter County Drug Prevention and Students Against Destructive Decisions are launching the Unplugged Adventures: Signal Lost Series\, a summer initiative designed to help youth and families reconnect with their community through positive\, screen-free experiences. \nThis series combines outdoor recreation\, leadership opportunities\, and community engagement with important traffic safety and prevention messaging supported through the Tennessee Highway Safety Office STOP Grant Program. Activities are designed to encourage healthy decision-making\, strengthen peer connections\, and raise awareness about distracted driving and other risky behaviors affecting today’s youth. \nThroughout the summer and fall\, participants will have opportunities to attend community walks\, scavenger hunts\, team challenges\, beginner-friendly recreation events\, and interactive activities focused on leadership\, teamwork\, and safe choices. \nThe Signal Lost series aims to: \n\nPromote distracted driving awareness and safe decision-making\nEncourage healthy balance away from constant screen use\nProvide safe\, substance-free activities for youth and families\nStrengthen youth leadership and community involvement\nCreate positive opportunities for peer connection and engagement\n\nEvents are designed to be welcoming\, family-friendly\, and accessible for youth across Carter County.
